Sammy Vincent

Berlin / 3:41

@sammyvincenttt

Rising indie artist Sammy Vincent unveils his latest single, Berlin, a deeply personal track that captures a moment of emotional clarity and transformation while navigating life’s chaos. The musician and songwriter was born and raised by the Kent seaside, penning songs that often explore themes of emotional struggle, societal commentary and personal reflection.

“I was in Berlin and I was finding myself in the maddest of situations,” he recalls. “Of course, the pen and pad were at hand. The result is an evocative song that blends raw lyricism with textured instrumentation, reflecting intense introspection.”

Somewhere between Peter Doherty and Jake Bugg, the tangible intensity of Vincent’s lyrics - highlighted by his raw vignette - is captivating as he seamlessly walks a tightrope between comfortable and uncomfortable realness.

Laura Reznek

Yacht Rock / 3:54

@laurareznek

Canadian-born, Kent-based songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist Laura Reznek has released Yacht Rock, taken from her sumptuous forthcoming album The Sewing Room.

“A slow boil of rage and reflection”, Yacht Rock is described as spiralling from a glare at the patriarchy to a mirror held up to old wounds. It’s about men - the ones who shaped us, hurt us, haunted us - and the strange rituals we invent to survive them.

Reznek says: “Yacht Rock is the opening track of the album - a song that began in a place of fury at powerful men but ended up mapping the quieter, more personal toll that power imbalances can take. It moves from pointed frustration to something more tender and haunting, asking what we internalise, inherit or reenact without realising.

“The title nods to a throwaway reference in the song - an image of detachment and easy listening - but beneath it is something much heavier.”

KillerMiracle

The Looking Glass / 3:49

@killermiracle

KillerMiracle has released latest professionally-recorded single The Looking Glass, an alternative rock/grunge anthem recorded at Really Big Audio in Whitstable with his close friend and producer Ian Sadler.
The accompanying music video, filmed at the iconic Walpole Bay Hotel in Margate, is a cinematic spectacle that blends the surreal charm of Alice in Wonderland with the eerie vibes of The Shining.
Musically, KillerMiracle draws inspiration from Black Sabbath and The Beatles, but think Queens of the Stone Age’s desert swagger mixed with Soundgarden’s moody riffs, shaken up with something entirely fresh.

Suncharmer
In The Mood For Love / 3:17
@suncharmerband

Tonbridge’s indie band Suncharmer have recently released their single In The Mood For Love, an infectious, high-energy track showcasing the band’s signature blend of rich instrumentation and modern indie energy.
After the success of their previous releases, Suncharmer continue to carve out a unique sound that resonates with both longtime rock enthusiasts and new listeners. The new track, which is a bit of a departure from the previous, more psychedelic, numbers, features a twisted melody and rhythmic thump akin to Led Zeppelin’s Immigrant Song. Lead singer Paul Crisp says: “We wanted to create something that feels fresh and exciting while staying true to the sounds that inspire us.”

Star.One, M1llionz, nineteen97, SHELLS

Too Many / 3:45

@staroneuk / @shellsmusic

It’s no secret that, here at ‘cene Magazine, we love a Kent collab. But give us a collab that’s a decade in the making and we are putty in your hands.

Ashford production duo, brothers Adam and Joe Wilson, AKA Star.One, have released new track Too Many alongside rap lyricists M1llionz and nineteen97 but with soaring vocals of SHELLS!

Benenden local Sarah Sheldrake, better known by her moniker of SHELLS, went to the same school as Star.One and the party confirmed by social media that the vocal hook was actually recorded on a houseboat some 10 years ago! The energetic DnB beats, alongside crafted rap and a troublingly addictive hook… what’s not to like?

Pizza Weasel

Dome / 4:10

@pizzaweaseldelivery

Another ‘cene favourite, Pizza Wesel - the distortion-riddled lo-fi version of the Beach Boys - have returned with new single Dome.

Their unique sounds have them vocally harmonising while simultaneously grinding out rough riffs. It sounds like it shouldn’t work, but it always f*cking does.

A bit like when Weezer did that Buddy Holly track, the PW have managed to once again fuse a 50s quartet sound with new grunge. They are here to make music and have fun.

They took to social media to say: “We made a little thing for our new song Dome. A video of sorts. It’s mainly just us mucking about and eating crisps.” Perfect.
